Revelation Craft Brewing’s new Rehoboth taproom at the renovated Waypoint Hotel.

A Revelation in Rehoboth

Revelation Craft Brewing is entering its 10th year in business and showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, the party is just getting started in Rehoboth Beach.

After outgrowing their West Rehoboth location last year, Revelation made the difficult decision to move on from the space that helped establish the brewery’s identity. But leaving the neighborhood behind was never part of the plan. Instead, Revelation found an exciting new opportunity just down the road for a new taproom at the recently renovated Waypoint Hotel. Situated on Rehoboth Avenue, you’re only a hop – beer pun – skip and a jump from the original spot.

The location couldn’t be more ideal. Whether you’re wrapping up a long beach day, cruising through town on a bike, or hopping off the Junction & Breakwater Trail, Revelation Rehoboth is positioned to become a go-to stop this summer. With proximity to a bike path with easy trail access, the new taproom welcomes both beachgoers and two-wheel travelers looking to cool off with a cold pint after a day in the sun. You’ll find six taps to start, with frequent rotation, so you know the beer is going to be fresh.

“We’re stoked to be back in the neighborhood serving our community,” said Mickey Diefenderfer, head brewer at Revelation. “With summer knocking on the door, we can’t wait to open.”

As this is being written, Revelation Rehoboth has not opened yet. They’re crossing T’s, dotting I’s, and putting the finishing touches on the space. It’s fully possible that by the time this is published, their doors will be open to the public. If not, expect a soft opening in the coming days and a full opening early this summer. For the latest updates, opening announcements, beer releases and events, keep an eye on their social media channels.

If you don’t feel like waiting, of course, you can still always get your Revelation fix straight from the source in Georgetown. Home to their 15-barrel production brewhouse, this is where Diefenderfer turns water into, well, beer. From the tried-and-true brands like Mother-In-Law IPA, Grateful Nation and 1791 Pilsner to new limited one-off brews, they all flow from Georgetown to cans and taps throughout Sussex County.

So whether you’re visiting the new Rehoboth taproom, stopping by Georgetown or grabbing a four-pack around town, Revelation Craft Brewing is proving that after 10 years, they’re still just getting started.
