West Side Story

West Side Creative Market is turning heads–and the tide.

What started as a small, grassroots street market in downtown Rehoboth is now a full blown local tradition. West Side Creative Market found its home in West Rehoboth—transforming a dusty gravel lot into a lush, vibrant, recurring pop up destination. Developing Artist Collaboration (or DAC) had a vision for bringing local makers together and offering a different kind of art buying experience. During the pandemic, they listened to local Artists who were struggling to find exhibition opportunities and responded with an innovative solution. Creative Market was born as a response to the needs of the creative community—but it’s quickly growing into a movement. The market has generated an impressive $630,000 in artist sales since 2021, and has welcomed over 40,000 visitors through its iconic arches.

This summer they’re taking on an ambitious new line up—expanding into three unique events every single week. Monday nights offer up the classic market experience—20+ local artist vendors, live music, food trucks and more. The atmosphere is effervescent and welcoming—a feast for the senses. If you’re looking for something interesting to enjoy on a Monday night- this is your spot.

On Fridays they’re turning up the heat. DAC is taking their classic market experience (art, food, cocktails, music- the works) and highlighting other local businesses (think block party). Go check out the market, then pop into Revelation Brewery for a beer, visit the West Rehoboth Legacy Mural and check out the Laura Killpack Fine Art Gallery just around the corner. On your way—you’ll find a new artist (or artist group) featured weekly at DAC’s sister site “The Artpothecary” (right down the street). Concepts range from fine art to experimental and immersive installations. These shows highlight a captivating range of media & offer emerging artists access to much needed exhibition space.

We wrap up the week with Sound Bite Sundays … Dedicated to local chefs, culinary vendors and genre bending musicians- plus kids activities & yard games (it’s giving backyard BBQ). Indulge in fresh flavors and discover new sounds from local talent all Summer long.

Each and every event features a refreshing combination of art, music and food—so you never risk repeating the same experience. Stop by on Monday May 26th from 5 to 9 pm for the first market of the year.
