Flagship Romance brings their Americana Cool to the Booth May 29.

The Quiet Week

SoDel Fest Says Goodbye, Vikings Say Skål

The sunburned masses have retreated. Route 1 is drivable again. Summer is technically here, which means this week is that small, golden window before everything gets insufferable again.

MAY 30 – Southern Delaware Wine, Food & Musical Festival closes out its 10th and final year at the Cambria Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, noon to 4 p.m. Twenty-plus restaurants, 100-plus wine and beer selections, a live chef throwdown, and live tunes – benefiting mental health resources for hospitality workers. Ten years, over $300K raised, going out on their own terms. Tickets required.

JUNE 5 – The West Side Creative Market in Rehoboth brings out friend of the Booth Steve Boucher for live music alongside food from Sarcastic Chef and Shore Island. Get your art on while hearing Steve wax poetic about how awesome it is to live at the beach.

JUNE 5-7 – Party Like It’s 793 at The Brimming Horn Meadery in Milton: a full weekend of heavy metal, handcrafted mead, Viking food and artisan vendors. Delaware’s only Viking metal festival, now in its sixth year. Noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, noon to 7pm Sunday. Kids 17 and under free. I did not make this up.

JUNE 6 – The Wild Hymns play Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, 9-11 p.m., free. The York, PA duo makes dreamy, moody folk-pop with jazz undertones and four self-released albums behind them. Free show, great beer, no excuse not to go.

MAY 29 – Flagship Romance with Quinn Arnold

Shawn Fisher and Jordyn Jackson are a married duo out of Louisville who have logged 250,000-plus miles on the road, funded five albums entirely through their fanbase, and earned press like “harmonies one could barely separate with a single human hair” from Folk Radio UK. Their recent self-titled double album was produced by a Grammy-winning producer and sounds like it – cinematic and built around two voices that need nothing else. Quinn Arnold opens. 7 p.m.

MAY 28 – YARN

MAY 30 – Kelly Bell Band

MAY 31 – The Bean Tones
