We have reached the part of August when every night offers live music and every morning asks whether that last encore was necessary. Here’s your week, from 90 years of Dewey Beach history to Southern-fried blues in Lewes.
AUG 14: The Bottle & Cork celebrates its 90th anniversary with Mr. Greengenes at 7:30 p.m. Ninety years is impressive for any business, especially one built around dancing, cold drinks and people saying, “Let’s do one more.” In Milton, Magnolia Applebottom hosts the Disney Divas Drag Show at Milton Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
AUG 15: Rocking the Docks hosts Summer Blues Fest at the Lewes Ferry Grounds beginning at 5 p.m., featuring The Record Company, Lower Case Blues and Sweet Leda. Three bands, one waterfront stage and enough blues to make your troubles feel under-rehearsed.
AUG 16: Yacht Lobsters perform at the Bandstand at 8 p.m. Yes, that is the band’s real name. Yes, you already know exactly what shirt to wear. The Nashville Nights Band brings the ultimate ’90s country experience to the Bottle & Cork at 7 p.m.
AUG 18 AND 19: Vinyl Shockley performs free at Stango Park in Lewes at 7 p.m., Aug. 18, while Simply the Best brings a Tina Turner tribute to Paradise Grill. The following night, Priscilla Block performs at the Bottle & Cork at 8 p.m. with The Chris Diller Band.

AUG 14: Mike Kinnebrew with Ian Otto Collins
Georgia singer-songwriter Mike Kinnebrew brings his soulful blend of folk and Americana to The Listening Booth. For fans of Jackson Browne, John Denver and Dan Fogelberg, Kinnebrew specializes in thoughtful lyrics and timeless melodies. Ian Otto Collins opens the show at 7 p.m. Come prepared to feel something.
