Mid-June is when Pride is in full swing and the music scene heats up. There’s a full slate of nights out this week, and not one of them requires you to remove sand from your bathing suit area.
JUNE 11 – The Lewes Ferry Grounds are hosting a soulful night. Eddie 9V brings his blend of blues and soul to Rocking the Docks, playing like he learned guitar in a juke joint by the water at sunset. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the show starts at 6 p.m., and kids 12 and under get in free.
Also boarding that evening: Drama on Deck, where Cape Water Tours and Ovation Dinner Theatre East turn a sunset cruise into a floating whodunit. Every guest is a suspect, dessert is included, and the boat doesn’t come back until someone cracks the case. Bring your own snacks and a small cooler. Departs at 7 p.m.
JUNE 12 – It’s Pride Month, and the Milton Theatre is celebrating with Born This Way: A Pride Drag Show, hosted by Magnolia Applebottom and featuring Shelita Ramen and Elektra Ryan. Expect glitter, live vocals and a room that wants you exactly as you are. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
If the night still has legs, Cecilia Grace, a Rehoboth Beach singer-songwriter and friend of The Listening Booth, plays a 90-minute set at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats. Admission is free, and 90 Minute IPA pints are $5, which is the kind of math that works out in your favor. Music starts at 9 p.m.

JUNE 13 – Melissa Quinn Fox & Levi Foster
A five-time Wammie Award winner for Best Country/Americana, Melissa Quinn Fox has opened for Brad Paisley, Lee Brice and Tenille Townes. She’s also the rare rising country artist whose lyrics do the heavy lifting. If you like Carly Pearce or Ella Langley, you already like Melissa Quinn Fox – you just haven’t met her yet. Story-driven, sharp and perfectly suited for a room this size. Show starts at 7 p.m.
