Maybe you’re watching your waistline or trying to fit in that new bikini. Maybe you’ve found that imbibing isn’t good for your mental or physical health. Or maybe you’ve just made a personal choice to stay off the sauce this summer. Grab yo’self a ripe watermelon (before they are no longer in season) and keep the party going sans buzz.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium seedless watermelon, chilled
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 4 teaspoons agave nectar
- Sparkling water
- Mint
Instructions:
Blend the Watermelon: In a blender, add the watermelon cubes and blend until smooth. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the juice to remove any pulp.
Mix with Lime and Mint: Pour the watermelon juice into a pitcher. Add lime juice and mint leaves, and gently muddle the mint to release its flavor.
Sweeten (Optional): Stir in agave nectar, if you’d like it sweeter.
Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour in the watermelon mint mixture, and top off with sparkling water or club soda.
Garnish: Add a mint sprig and a small watermelon wedge for garnish.
