Delaware Bloody Mary

Sip in Season

This recipe blends the flavor of fresh local tomatoes with a kick of Old Bay seasoning for that perfect coastal touch.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ripe local tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (more if you like it spicy)
  • 1/2 tsp horseradish
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • Celery stalk, lemon wedge, and local pickles for garnish

Instructions:

Blend & Strain: Toss those tomatoes into a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the mix through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher. We’re going for smooth, not chunky!

Mix & Stir: Add the tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, horseradish, Old Bay, celery salt, and black pepper to the pitcher. Stir like you’re trying to impress someone with your mixology skills.

Pour & Chill: Fill a glass with ice, pour in the vodka, and top with your Bloody Mary mix. Stir gently—this isn’t a workout.

Garnish & Show Off: Garnish with a celery stalk, lemon wedge, and pickles. Sip and enjoy your creation, pretending you’re at a trendy brunch spot.
