Whether you’re a fan of hoppy IPAs or rich stouts, there’s a brewery in Sussex County for you.

BIG OYSTER BREWERY Located in Lewes, Big Oyster Brewery is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Enjoy the big, family-friendly backyard while sampling a flight. They offer a variety of beers bursting with great flavor, including their flagship Shuck It oyster stout, which is made with locally sourced oysters.
PRO TIP For the perfect sidekick to all your summer activities, their Fusco’s Italian Ice Shandy, brewed with gallons of the famous Fusco’s water ice, is a must try. 

BRICK WORKS BREWING Located in Long Neck, this brewpub from famed local restaurateur Kevin Reading serves up made-from-scratch, comfort-food favorites, alongside fruit forward brews and smooth stouts. Just minutes from the Indian River Bay, this is the perfect spot to refuel after a day on the water.
PRO TIP  Order the Chocolate Covered Pretzel Stout for dessert. 

CROOKED HAMMOCK BREWERY Located in Lewes, Crooked Hammock Brewery is a family-friendly spot that’s known for its relaxed atmosphere. They offer a variety of easy-drinking beers, including their popular sour, Brand New Day, and South to Somewhere, a Coconut Golden Ale. If you’ve been sleeping on Hammock brews, stop, because they just added an award-winning brewmaster who launched a new year-round core beer, Hammock Light, a crisp lager and it’s legit.
PRO TIP  The outdoor area is perfect for all ages and dogs, too!

DEWEY BEER CO. This brewpub in Dewey is mere feet from the beach and other Dewey mainstays. They’re known for an innovative approach to brewing, using unique ingredients and techniques to create a range of flavorful beers. Some of their most popular brews include Swishy Pants, an unfiltered and double-dry hopped American IPA and their signature fruited sour, Secret Machine. Their production facility and taproom in off-the-beaten path Harbeson is the perfect “locals” hangout when you want to get away from the crowds.
PRO TIP  Order a pizza from Pizza Machine next door and chill under the tent in DBC’s huge outdoor seating area. 

DOGFISH HEAD CRAFT BREWERY Located in Milton, Dogfish Head is one of the most well-known craft breweries in the country. They’re famous for their off-centered ales and experimental brews, including the popular 60 Minute IPA and a particular summertime fave, their refreshing session sour, SeaQuench Ale.
PRO TIP  The Milton brewery offers tastings and tours for an entertaining rainy-day activity, and you can find pub-only and hard-to-find Dogfish beers alongside an intriguing beer-inspired food menu and live music almost every night of the week at their original brewpub on Rehoboth Avenue. 

IRON HILL BREWERY  Located near the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is a popular spot for beer lovers and foodies alike. They exclusively serve their own beers, including their award-winning wood and barrel-aged beer, Queen of the North.
PRO TIP The cheesesteak egg rolls are the perfect complement to any beer on tap; you can thank us later. 

REVELATION CRAFT BREWING Located just a few blocks from Rehoboth Avenue, Revelation Craft Brewing Company is a hidden gem that’s quickly gaining popularity. They offer a variety of beers, including IPAs, stouts and sours, and they have a spacious taproom that’s perfect for hanging out with friends.
PRO TIP Hit up the pop-up beer garden at Hudson Fields (right off Route 1 in Milton) every Friday throughout the summer to enjoy live music, food trucks and totally chill vibes.

THOMPSON ISLAND BREWERY Located in Rehoboth Beach, this brewery is named after an island in the Rehoboth Bay. It focuses on locally sourced ingredients and handcrafts beers in small batches. Thompson Island offers a cozy and coastal atmosphere to grab a pint, from their flagship IPA to their seasonal brews, while enjoying a delicious meal or enjoying the vibes in their backyard area.
PRO TIP  Save room for dessert.
