From French fare to chicken salad, you can satisfy most cravings on Baltimore Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach. Within a few blocks, you’ll find juicy steaks, pizza, escargot and oysters on the half shell. Here are some examples.
The Market at 59
Located in the former Mark Showell Interiors space, the new concept includes both a market and a restaurant. (See below.) The market offers pantry items, baked goods, prepared foods, desserts and other grab-and-go items. Don’t see what you want? Ask, says co-owner David Kneller.

Fifty Nine
Once the chairs arrive, it could be hard to get a seat in this intimate restaurant. For one, it accommodates fewer than 40 people, so landing a reservation will be a coup. For another, Kneller has an impressive résumé, including stints in several Eastern Shore restaurants.

Pazzo replaced Frank & Louie’s, but the Bascio brothers are still involved. The refreshed walk-in market is a partnership with Second Block Hospitality, and it still carries sandwiches, meatballs, butter cakes, cookies and other fan favorites.

This tiny restaurant in one of Rehoboth Beach’s oldest buildings embraces indoor-outdoor dining. There are bar seats on the sidewalk and a covered patio out back. The menu leans into oysters and other seaworthy dishes, but the presentation is upscale.
