If you’re looking for the local scoop on what to do this summer, these two resident influencers (and besties) have built a brand highlighting all the fun, insider tips and hidden treasures the Delaware beaches have to offer. Lindsay Good, a real estate professional, and Dana Isley, a local photographer, have been friends for 10 years and have always shared the same love for Delaware beach life. “I grew up coming here since I was 12,” Dana smiles. “Something about the beach just does it for me.”
After they both moved to the beach full time (every weekend warrior’s dream), the duo joined digital forces last summer to start Delaware Beach Local, a social media account focused on everything they love about beach life in Delaware. They set out each week with the goal of posting four reels/posts and a multitude of stories. “We want to highlight local businesses, cool people and all the hidden gems here,” Dana explains.
You can find them on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, posting their personal favorites from Lewes to Fenwick, which has attracted millions of viewers. “It’s wild to think about how far we’ve come and how many people are tuning in,” Lindsay smiles. This July, they will celebrate Delaware Beach Local’s one-year anniversary. What started as a hobby is growing into a side hustle, as they’ve started getting interest in brand collaborations.
But they want to stay true to their core beliefs: “Building a local community around the love of this area,” Lindsay says. “And we want to keep giving back to the places and people we love so much,” Dana adds. Check them out online at @delawarebeachlocal (and look for them around town this weekend) as they highlight their favorite places, restaurants, food and people.
