Heading to your first drag show this Memorial Day weekend? Or maybe you’re a seasoned queen supporter who still needs a little refresher? Either way, here’s my gospel, baby. My personal scroll of drag wisdom. Follow it, and thou shalt be blessed (and unbothered):
1. Thou shalt not touch the queens. We love you, but we’re not Build-A-Bear.
2. Honor thy tips and keep them flowing. $1 is cute. $5 is love. $20 makes you a legend (and possibly a tax write-off).
3. Thou shalt cheer, clap, scream, and LIVE. Silence at a drag show? Not on my watch.
4. Thou shalt not yell song requests mid-performance. This ain’t Applebee’s karaoke night, darling.
5. Thou shalt bring friends who hype you up … not the one who whispers, “I could do that” from the back row.
HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND
