Guess who crawled back out of the glitter vault just in time for summer? That’s right. Out & About with Kadet Kelly is officially BACK and honestly, Delmarva isn’t ready.
The boardwalk is warming back up, the tourists are multiplying, the gays are migrating back to Rehoboth like stylish little seagulls, and somewhere in the distance you can already hear the sound of a drag queen fighting for her life in six-inch heels on uneven pavement. Summer has arrived!
After taking a little off-season break, I’m beyond excited to dive headfirst back into the chaos, cocktails, community, nightlife and absolute nonsense that makes summers around here so special. And trust me when I say … this summer is already shaping up to be a BIG one.
Not only am I officially back performing in your iconic local bars but I’m also thrilled to announce that I’ll be serving as the host and MC for Salisbury Maryland’s Diversity Day June 27 with 2GetherWeThrive!
And let me tell you, they are not playing around this year.
We’re talking performers, music, community, energy, celebration, local talent and a whole lot of queer joy packed into one incredible day. It honestly means the world to be trusted with helping lead something that celebrates inclusivity, self-expression and the amazing people that make this community what it is.

Over the past few months, I’ve had opportunities to grow, travel, meet inspiring creatives and experience some really surreal moments but nothing compares to bringing that energy back HOME for the summer.
There’s just something magical about this area this time of year.
One minute you’re grabbing dinner, and the next you somehow end up at a drag show screaming lyrics with complete strangers while someone’s wig slowly slides backward under the night lights.
That’s summer, baby.
And if this is only the beginning? Oh, we are about to have SOME FUN!
So grab your sunscreen, charge your phone, hydrate responsibly-ish, and prepare yourselves accordingly …
