A Weekend in Dewey: Survival Guide

Parking & Getting Around

  • Manifest it: Simply believe there’s a parking spot, and one will magically appear; it works every time.
  • Consider using the municipal lot and walk. Dewey is only 1 mile long and 2 blocks wide.
  • The Jolly Trolley is the classic late-night ride back to Rehoboth.

Eat First, Party Later

  • Start with a famous crabcake at Woody’s.
  • Other solid choices: Dewey Beer Co. for burgers & brews, Nalu, or fresh seafood at The Starboard Claw.

Nightlife Essentials

  • The Starboard: Home of the famous orange crush & Sunday pours.
  • Bottle & Cork: Live music since 1937.
  • Northbeach: Bay views by day, DJs by night.
  • Rusty Rudder: Big decks, live bands, and dockside eats.
  • Late-Night Pizza: Mama Maria’s may be gone, but any slice hits after a night out. Just don’t stumble into Route 1 – Dewey Police will nab you every time.

Morning After

  • Starboard Sunday brunch is legendary. Locals treat it like church.
  • Or head to Sunrise Restaurant for a home cooked breakfast that cures most ills. Pancakes, scrapple, and bottomless coffee = hangover cure.

Recovery Mode

  • Sleep it off on the sand – but don’t forget the sunscreen.
  • Bonus points for pre-packing water and snacks so you don’t have to move until sunset.
